Terms
These terms are between you and Tribute Portrait, a business based in Ontario, Canada. Tribute Portrait provides a digital restoration of a photograph you upload, and downloadable files made from that restoration. It is not a funeral home, and it does not print or ship paper unless a later service says so.
Your photograph
By uploading, you confirm that you have the right to use the photograph for this purpose. Many portraits belong to the photographer or a studio. You are responsible for that permission. We do not offer watermark removal, and you must not upload a picture in order to strip someone else’s mark.
What the service does
The portrait is processed with AI. We show a watermarked preview before you pay. The tools are instructed not to change facial features, expression, or hair, and not to colorize unless you turn color on. Color already painted on the photograph is kept when color is left off. We automatically re-run a result that fails our quality check up to 2 more times at no extra cost. If it still fails, that attempt counts as one try, it isn’t shown, and that result can’t be purchased. After 3 tries, you can buy any one that came out right. If none did, upload a different, clearer photo. Once free previews are used up, you can still buy without a preview, and we’ll restore the photograph for you. If we can’t restore it, we’ll handle it personally by email at support@tributeportrait.com. Results can still be imperfect, especially when the photograph is very small. You decide whether the preview looks like the person.
We do not add a voice, make the person speak, or place them into a different photograph. A paid clip may blink or ease a soft smile by moving the original pixels, or move closer on the still photograph. It does not replace the face, turn the head, tilt the frame, or make the person speak. After you pay, four clips are made automatically.
Payment and refunds
Prices are shown before you pay in US dollars, or in Canadian dollars for visitors in Canada. Checkout shows the amount in your local currency. Applicable tax is added at checkout. Because you see your finished portrait before you pay, we don’t offer refunds, except where required by law. A full refund ends access right away and deletes the files. A partial refund keeps your download link working. The download page lets you redo the portrait free, up to 2 times. We automatically re-run a result that fails our quality check up to 2 more times at no extra cost. If it still fails, that attempt counts as one redo, and that result can’t be purchased. When both redos are used, pick any saved version, or email support@tributeportrait.com for further changes. Payment is processed by Stripe via Link, the merchant of record. Link’s own buyer policies may apply.
Files
A portrait includes the restored photograph and the print-size files. Video is four clips of that photograph. Portrait and video together include the portrait and the four clips.
A family pack bought earlier can still be used for the portraits it included.
You may use the files for a memorial: a program, an easel, an obituary, a card, a slideshow still, or the clip. An unpaid preview expires 15 minutes after the last preview. It is deleted when opened after that, and a cleanup runs every 5 minutes. Closing or reloading the tab deletes it sooner. Opening checkout keeps it until the timer runs out. After payment, the print-size files are prepared, usually in about 2 minutes, and then the download page offers them. Paid files are deleted from our storage 7 days after payment. The photograph you uploaded is kept with that order for the same 7 days, then deleted with the files. Free redos are available only during those 7 days, counted from payment. A redo does not extend the download link, the files, or the photograph you uploaded. For further changes after those 7 days, email support@tributeportrait.com. A full refund ends access right away and deletes the files. A partial refund keeps your download link working. Keep your own copy. The download page has the files. When checkout includes an email and mail delivery is connected, we also email a link that works during those 7 days.
Not an affiliation
Tribute Portrait is not affiliated with Tribute Technology or Arbor Memorial. We do not use their product names for our features.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights where you live.
