Portraits for funeral homes

Tribute Portrait restores one photograph and prepares the files a service uses. The family sees a watermarked preview beside the original, and pays only if it looks like the person.

What you can hand a family

  • A print-ready 16×20 for the easel, and the program photograph, from the same restoration.
  • The other print sizes as well: prayer card, bookmark, obituary photo, and easel frames from 11×14 through 24×36.
  • Print files are usually ready in minutes after payment. The preview is free.
  • The face is left as it was. Color stays off unless the family turns it on.
  • An optional video: four short clips of that portrait. No music, and the person does not speak.

The pages a family uses are the memorial portrait, the easel photograph, and the video.

A before and after

This is a public-domain photograph, restored the same way. The source is on the photo credits.

A glass-negative portrait of an older man in a suit, with emulsion flaking along the hairline and a pale streak at the left.
Original
The same portrait restored, with the flaking and streak cleaned and a plain studio background. The face is unchanged.
